KC74- Hollywood Camera Shock Absorber
Kieran Clarke (KC74) is a world championship motorcycle racer turned stuntman, specialising in vehicles and camera bike tracking systems. Kieran has worked on many big budget Hollywood films such as Mission Impossible and the Fast and Furious franchise. The cutting edge equipment that Kieran uses is required to be of the highest quality and designed for lightweight and precise function.
We collaborated with Kieran to design a new shock absorber and rigging system used to mount high end cameras to a range of motorcycles and used in varying terrain applications. The aim of the project was to design a completely new system that created unbelievable film picture quality, improved the operation and function, whilst keeping the overall weight of the system to a minimum. The project followed our iterative design and development process, incorporating innovative design features and combining lightweight materials that were fit for purpose.
